This project involves the waterproofing using GRP lining and the repairing of an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) tank at Almarai’s Water Treatment Plant.
Findigs
- Blistering, bulging, and GRP delamination on walls.
- The newly poured concrete floor required GRP lamination.
Risks
- The ETP tank was 5 meters high and involved confined space entry.
Solution
- Patchwork was done where the old GRP was defective.
- Vinyl ester GRP is applied to the walls and floor.
- The final finish included proper sanding and gel coat.
