The goal was to replace damaged GRP lining in a sludge tank and repair cracks using crack injection treatment.
Findings
- GRP delaminated; prominent stains and cracks were observed.
- Required chemical resistance due to industrial sludge content.
Risks
- 5-meter-high tank with confined space and chemical exposure risks.
Solution
- Damaged GRP was removed.
- Cracks were injected with epoxy material.
- New vinyl ester GRP applied with proper sanding and gel coating.
- Project validated by leak testing.
