This project focused on replacing delaminated GRP lining in two 575 m² basement water tanks. The new system is installed after the proper removal of the existing damaged waterproofing.
Findings
- The surface had pinholes, stains, and hollow sounds indicating detachment.
- GRP had to be removed and replaced entirely.
Risks
- Confined space, chemical hazards, and height (6 meters) posed safety concerns.
Solution
- Old GRP completely removed and new lamination applied.
- ISO-grade gel coat is used for long-lasting performance.
- Materials were WRAS-approved and safe for potable water.
