The toilet had an existing bitumen membrane that had failed, leading to leaks into the ground floor, damaging the ceiling and furniture.
Findings
- Residual bitumen patches remained after removal, potentially affecting GRP bonding.
Solution
- Fully removed all bitumen traces.
- Applied GRP lining system with white gel coat.
- 3-day water test confirmed successful sealing.
